The Company
You will be joining an established fit-out contractor who have offices in Melbourne and Sydney. Employing around 35 staff in the Melbourne business with a new business developing in Sydney they are looking to add and experienced Sydney based fit-out Project Manager to the team
Projects range in value from $100k - $2M, primarily within the commercial interiors and medical facilities sectors.
They require additional resources due to the secured and forecast work in the Sydney office expected in 2021.
The Role
We are looking for a committed, hard working Project Manager who is keen to work in a flexible, agile role and to take accountability for Project delivery. Reporting into the Director, you will hold total responsibility for project success. Duties will include:
- Project cost management (full project lifecycle)
- Accurate review and reporting of project P&L
- Managing variation progress claims
- Managing sub-contractor selection and engagement, including negotiation
- Managing the invoicing process
- Client engagement and relationship building
You role will see you driving the pre-construction through to construction. Agree construction schedule and ensure site establishment with Site Manager. You will also be in communication with all external and internal stakeholders including engineers, architects and planners.

- Have some practical experiences within the construction industry - Project Management or an experienced Contracts Administrator looking for a Project Management role.
- Can read and interpret construction plans
- Have been responsible for fit-out project up to $2M
- Have a construction related qualification
