Oakleigh will soon be home to the City of Monash’s first build-to-rent (BTR) development, to be known as Fieldworks House.

Designed for Pellicano, the $250 million development will feature an abundance of indoor and outdoor amenities servicing 171 apartments, including:

  • 12 retail spaces
  • A co-working space
  • A private health and wellness rooftop retreat
  • Locally inspired artwork on the building’s exterior.

i2C and Ryder have honoured Oakleigh’s history in the design of the build through a considered selection of exterior finishes. This includes the use of exposed brick to salute Oakleigh South’s strong bricklaying history and industrial aesthetic.

As the first BTR development in the municipality, i2C hopes Fieldworks House will “set the standard for future development in the area.”

Fieldworks House is not the architecture firm’s first BTR project. They’re also involved in Boyd Southbank, which encompasses 434 BTR apartments – 40 of which are affordable units.
