Hot news out of Melbourne’s build-to-rent (BTR) sector: Golden Age Group has struck a deal with Residential, which will expedite the delivery of Box Hill’s first BTR project.

Titled Sky SQR, the project will include 425 BTR apartments across two towers. A landmark retail and hospitality precinct, designed by Oval Partnerships (who are based in Hong Kong) will sit under the towers.

Notable onsite amenities will include a childcare centre, publicly accessible green space, co-working space, indoor pool, gyms and a wellness space. And of course, the latest amenity de jour: pet washing facilities.

Of the 425 apartments on offer, 37 are earmarked for social, affordable and disability accommodation.

Construction will begin in 2024, with residents slated to begin moving in 2025.
