Global investment firm Hines is adding to their portfolio of local office projects by announcing a new 180m tower in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
The premium-grade skyscraper will include 60,000 square metres of office space, curated food and beverage options, and podium terraces. Future tenants can also expect end-of-trip amenities like a hotel-style reception lounge, showers, bike parking, wellness centres, collaborative work zones, and designated green spaces.
600 Collins was designed by architectural firms Architectus and WilkinsonEyre. It will enjoy over 70 metres of Collins Street frontage at completion and will be the first fully electric building in Australia.
Hines is also targeting further sustainability credentials in the form of a 6 Star Green Star and 6 Star NABERS Energy rating, as well as a Platinum WELL Certification for shell and core – making it one of the most energy-efficient and sustainable buildings in Australia.
It’s a significant addition to Hines’ already extensive portfolio. The firm, which has a presence in 285 cities in 28 countries, has two other Melbourne projects in the works: 36-52 Wellington, a 15,200 square metre creative office building, and 9 Stewart Street, a 5,200 square metre boutique office building in Richmond.
