Who said retail was dead? It’s certainly not in Rosebud, where Charter Hall has just sold Rosebud Plaza for $134.5 million.

Who said retail was dead? It’s certainly not in Rosebud, where Charter Hall has just sold Rosebud Plaza for $134.5 million.

It follows a significant renovation of the facility, designed to develop a ‘sense of belonging,’ as well as enhance the retail offering to the local community.

Located on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, the shopping centre is home to a Woolworths, Coles, Dan Murphy’s, BCF showroom and Kmart, along with a string of smaller retail tenants. The buyer is an unnamed, private investor based in Sydney.

Charter Hall originally purchased the site in 2013 for $100 million from CFS Retail Property Trust.

This sale comes off the back of another significant divestment by Charter Hall – the sale of an industrial facility in Truganina at the end of 2023, for a whopping $94.1 million.
