After purchasing 31 Cremorne Street last year for $53.5 million, Vicland has now revealed its plans to build a mid-rise commercial development on the site.

At 12 storeys in height, the building includes a brick podium embracing Cremorne’s past, with a more contemporary tower reflecting Cremorne’s future as a digital hub.

17,900 square metres of office leasable floor area will be on offer, together with 2,100 square metres of restricted retail space at the ground and basement level. In addition, showers and other end-of-travel facilities will serve over 150 bicycle spaces in the two-level basement.

The planning report also details a generous rooftop terrace with 360-degree views that will be open to the public during set times. The inclusion of publicly assessable amenities at the site is designed as a homage to the pleasure gardens featured in Cremorne during the mid-1800s.

Cremorne is enjoying a commercial revival following the Victorian Government’s identification of the suburb as a future digital hub. The suburb is already home to household names like Uber, The Walt Disney Company, Seek and MYOB. The Cremorne Place Implementation Plan will guide the precinct’s development into a digital hub.
